Celebrating, World Bee day, the Busy Bee room had toast and honey for snack. Every one of the children this morning finished their toast. Thank you bees for making delicious honey.

Today we also looked at a book about bees. We learned a bit about what they are and what they do. We talked about the colours of them, the noise they make and how they take pollen from flowers to make honey. #learningforsustainability

Butterflies in the Busy Bee room
Our first butterfly has emerged. Some children were curious and pointed to it, saying âbutterflyâ. It had been in itâs cocoon for 9 days. It will be released soon to fly and pollinate flowers.

Today in the Rainbow Room we planted some wildflower seeds. We talked about when these flowers grow they will attract bees and butterflies to our garden. We planted them in the soil and watered them with some water. #learningforsustainability
S2 have looked at what technologies of the future might look at. They have chosen an issue that they would like to address and worked had to create their own design for a technology that might have a positive impact on our environment. Well done S2! #learningforsustainability
World Bee Day
The children in the Busy Bee room made Honey Play dough. They mixed the ingredients together, using some sticky honey. They pulled, prodded, rolled and squeezed the mixture. Language used included, yellow, bee, buzz, pat and pull.
