It’s not just Gannets at Bass Rock.

Okay #RNA24 , you should go to the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick in your free time and take a boat tour or just hang out and make a donation. What an amazing place. The pictures will never do it justice. The first picture is Bass Rock - home to 110,000 Gannets.

After a largely sunny day, the heavens opened for my boat trip to Bass Rock… still lovely to see so many Gannets.

The seabird equivalent of B & Q doing great business today as Gannets get down to some serious nest refurbishment.

Bright day Hilbre Bird Obs although the sandstorm inducing north-westerly was more conducive for sea-watching than passerines arriving although a late pm #Blackcap looked like it had been enjoying the blackthorn pollen! Plenty of Gannets&SandwichTerns + our first Arctics (3)

The Gannets at Bempton Cliffs are always a fabulous sight. I could watch this spectacle all day.

I can't think of many places that I've visited which are as spectacular as RSPB Bempton Cliffs on the Yorkshire Coast. I've just about picked my jaw up from the floor having seen so many gannets, guillemots, kittiwakes and razorbills as well as the odd puffin, fulmar and shag.

Walk from Our Whitley Bay St Mary's Island to Hartley this morning. Great to see several Fulmars nesting on the cliffs. Eider in the sea, Gannets and Terns fishing further out.
