Looking back at May 2019 with Operation Nightingale. The important link between archaeology and taking lunch back to the nest. With all this blustery, chilly weather it's lovely to remember a quiet moment in the sunshine

Round and about at Littlecote and Ramsbury. Quiet moments spotting flowers and arborglyphs. I will be looking and learning this evening, since I'm so guessing on ID. Pretty sure they are two different sorts! 🙂

'Small Object' inspiration: the glass marbles found with Op Nightingale, a reminder of family life in the huts after the war; other toys on other days AND the mystery of why china bathing machines badged with landlocked Aldbourne were sold as souvenirs.

On the occasion of his birthday. When I met Don Malarkey and Buck Compton at the Blue Boar, 2007. Two special gentlemen. I couldn't guess that over ten years later, we'd be with Breaking Ground Heritage and Operation Nightingale. A very special memory.
