This is how bad Kevin McCarthy is at negotiating.

Kevin went in offering Biden an increase of $1.5 trillion and cuts.

Kevin walked out giving Biden an UNLIMITED debt ceiling increase and govt grows business as usual.

If the US was a family making $150,000 per year, the family would have just over $1 million in debt and would spend $192,000 dollars a year or $42,000 a year more than it makes.

US has 33 trillion in debt. US deficit spends about a trillion a year. Need to cut spending by a trillion a year to stop debt growth. Then cut another trillion a year it would take 33 years to pay off the debt - assuming we pay that trillion a year to the debt.

🔴 It was only $31.4 trillion a few months ago before they suspended the debt ceiling until 2025.

The ceiling is caving in, and everyone is sitting with the lights off.

What a scam the “debt ceiling” has turned out to be. Every few years the market finds itself in an uproar as the debt ceiling approaches only to have the ceiling broken through again and again.
