First curlew chicks of the year seen. Today is a very good day.

A pretty decent first day in Suffolk yesterday. British tick Stone Curlew at last. And great to catch up with Dartford Warbler again after a few years. Just one, of five seen, sat long enough to be phonescoped.

Curlew at Lodmoor RSPB this morning but not for long

One of our wader surveyors recently spotted Carrot, one of the tagged Curlew, on her breeding grounds in Wensleydale. She was identified by BTO staff using the unique combination of colour rings on her legs.
