Many thanks to everyone that joined us up at Slievenacloy on Friday for our Bee Walk as part of the #CityNatureChallenge 🐝 Despite the cold start we were delighted that the sun made an appearance and brought a few bees out!
With #CityNatureChallenge coming to an end we wanted to make an appreciation post for Matt Wallace at City Nature YYC. His passion for biodiversity is unmatched. Having him on our tours is always a treat. We learn so much from him. #CityNatureChallenge YYC #YYC

White-winged Terns congregating on passage around suburban fish ponds in which they take fish pellets! A very different lifestyle from winter months when they are semi-pelagic & are seen feeding with Eden's Whale

Some notable warblers in a morning in #SamutPrakan suburbs. They have to survive in suboptimum habitats as there are fewer suitable patches largely due to the Land & Building Tax Act enforced since '20.

A dryer afternoon enabled me to get a few more species in (outside the Medical School towards the Bourn Brook). Spotted a big cluster of St George's 🍄 and an obliging Brown rat #CityNatureChallenge
Highlight of the lunch time #CityNatureChallenge was this awesome Tortoise beetle 😀 The Coleopterists Society CityNatureChallenge

From 26 - 29 April, we’re asking people across the West of England to record as much wildlife as possible over this 4-day global challenge.
Your sightings help us know where our wildlife is and how it's doing. 🗺️🐦 citynaturechallenge.org.uk
Last night in the very final hours of my #CityNatureChallenge expedition, this little critter popped up on the ground at my face just to be observed. Bowie is the recently described genus of ctenid spiders in tropical Asia. Not sure which species this one exactly is though.
