Unis also need to up their game with more female representation- it is off putting.

She is resorting to studying everything by herself, but it’s hardly inspiring. Difficult to stand out with your application when you are declined everywhere.

My Y12 daughter comes across men almost 100% time with physics public talks, lectures, uni open days etc. Often girls are overlooked when it comes to physics and further maths in the classrooms by teachers.
We still have dates free in June and July for Planetarium visits and physics-based workshops for both Primary and Secondary.

My daughter has applied for 9 work experience placements this summer in physics related courses, at some unis and some firms; rejected from all of them - what is she meant to do? How are you meant to get seen?!
