Friday's a great time to be catching up on #carbonremovals reading. Graph of the day comes from the University of Oxford State of CDR report. Of the total 2 gigatonnes of CO2 removed annually, only 0.2% comes from novel CDR. The rest? Forests and land! 🌳🌲🌳
Dangerous things need to be stored away. To store excess CO2 EU policymakers need to:

I'm on the train home after attending the latest meeting of the Expert Group on #carbonremovals .
A quick reflection on where things stand.
The meeting offered many new insights and ample time for discussion. But plenty of unanswered questions remain.

Deploying pyrolysis at scale can ramp up biochar production—a boon to #carbonremovals and to an impactful VCM.
