At the end of our Nijmegen battlefieldtour today we visited the Waal crossing site and then participated in the Sunset march to commemorate the 48 men killed during and directly after the crossing. A brilliant, albeit a tad cold, day on the battlefields.

First day on Battlefield Tour 2023!! Started at a small village outside Paris, one of the starting points for taxies carrying French soldiers to the Marne in 1914. Lovely to see a poilu in living color!
