Now that’s a REAL #SolarFlare ! After posting about how the recent X1 flares wouldn’t have been considered so under the previous solar cycle, last night the Sun produced an unambiguously large event, clocking in at X4.4. This makes it the 3rd largest flare since 2017! #astronomy
