World War II Veteran Wilfred 'Spike' Mailloux, 100, formerly of Clifton Park, NY, passed away on May 2, 2024.

Born and raised in Cohoes, NY, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the 105th Infantry, 27th Division Company B in the Pacific Theatre.

Jack was born May 31, 1921, in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and grew up in Detroit. He served his country in the Army Air Force as a B-26 pilot flying missions over Germany.

A Funeral was held on Monday for Cpl Manuel John Pimentel, of Medford, MA. He served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, and was killed in action on September 24, 1942, at Guadalcanal. His remains were recently recovered.
