This photograph was taken in 1850, 35 years after the Battle of Waterloo. It is hard to know how old the

Waterloo Station in the 1930s. Note the porters hurrying to the first class coaches as the train arrives. Posters on the ticket barriers advertise summer tickets and day trips so this is probably pre-1939 as non-essential rail travel was restricted during the war.
