On Friday I led a side event as part of the United Nations Commission on Status of Women #UNCSW67 . The topic was Gender equity in STEM: Barriers and evidence-based solutions.

We heard from 4 speakers with youth and adult perspectives reflecting lived experiences and data.

Nurses are continually silenced in HC. We need to think big and take up space in all spaces of decision making. Let's make it impossible to not be heard 💪

Today we had our #GlobalUnions session for #UNCSW67 . Our Canadian Labour delegation connected with Union delegations from around the world. We will make sure that workers are not left out of the discussions.

Listening to Pushing Back the Push-Back: Nordic Solutions to on-line gender-based violence. The panel is made up of the gender equality ministers from all the Nordic countries. #UNCSW 67 #UNCSW #GlobalUnions

#UNCSW67 ⁦CTF/FCE⁩ joint project with Gambia using cellphones to connect teachers in remote rural communities in Gambia. Teachers were empowered and became mentors/role models for girls. ⁦Amazing work! Education International⁩

But disappointingly, the Canadian government failed to even mention Indigenous Women and Girls today.
