Il #6giugno 1944 è nato #TommieSmith . Dopo aver vinto l'oro a Mexico '68 nei 200, lui e John Carlos, 3°, si girarono verso la bandiera Usa e, senza scarpe, alzarono un pugno con guanto nero ma con braccia diverse: Carlos aveva dimenticato i suoi guanti e Smith gliene prestò uno.
