#MillLifeMonday Mill secrets! The hydraulic press was used to add a fine finish to the surface of the worsted cloth produced here at Sunny Bank Mills. The cloth was fed in zig-zags between heated cards and the stack was then pressed under pressure for 12 hours. #TextileArchive
Last year our volunteers took part in weaving workshops with the Landmark Trust inspired by Calverley Old Hall. Last week they went back to see how renovation works are progressing in the spaces that inspired the textiles!
