Last week at #GDC , we unveiled Image to Material 'Carbon' for #Substance3DSampler . This new iteration brings greatly improved quality and accuracy, as well as a powerful super-rez model that not only increases resolution x4 but also removes jpeg artefacts from the input image.

I quickly tested #substance3dsampler by following Wes McDermott Adobe Substance 3D awesome tutorial and the result is amazing, it's the first time I'm making photogrametry and just with my phone, I messed up some pictures are blurry but overall we get a great result.

Saw this awesome banana graffiti wall in my neighborhood. Of course I made a material from it 🍌

Import a base image to the Substance Sampler and apply the Embroidery filter.

Choose Custom Color on the Color Mode, then tweak the parameters in each Color Tab.

If you are satisfied, export the textures.
