The river Llugwy was a favourite of many well-known Victorian artists such as Frederick William Hulme & the painter James William Whittaker (1828–1876), who fell there trying to collect his painting gear and drowned. Snowdonia National Park , Wales. Wikipedia. NMP.

Amazing numbers of Green Long-horn moths in Trefiw oak woods, Snowdonia yesterday. Well over 100 on the wing. With a backdrop of Wood Warblers, Pied Flycatcher, Redstarts, Tree Pipit and Cuckoo, it was quite spectacular. Those horns! British Moths

Peak District was the first area to be designated as a national park. By the end of the decade the Lake District, Snowdonia, Dartmoor, Pembrokeshire Coast, North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Exmoor, Northumberland and Brecon Beacons had all been designated as national parks

So, Uncle Phil - who owned the Chevette - also owned a short case Grand Father clock, which has now been fully restored by snowdonia_antiques in North Wales - the wood work & paintwork are now stunning! πŸ•°οΈπŸ‘€

Watcha think to it?

Walked up Moel y Dyniewyd today. A very modest 1253 feet but with the most awesome view. Especially of Yr Wyddfa. Some of the smallest hills really do have the best views and no crowds!
