Annie & I have come to look for orchids on the Devil’s Dyke. So far we’ve been serenaded by skylarks & have seen UMPTEEN marbled whites👇🏼, like tiny fluttery chequered flags…There’s sainfoin, milkwort (gawd I love that little blue number), vetches, lady’s bedstraw & wild thyme…

As well as the Yellow Wagtail, other highlights were Stonechats and Reed Buntings (these two are always so helpful and pose lovely for photos!) Also Reed, Cetti's and Sedge Warblers, Whitethroats, Blackcaps, Buzzards, Yellowhammer, Skylarks, Swallows and lots of LBB Gulls.
