On this day in 1992, Bosnian defenders, many of them wearing only jeans & adidas sneakers, heroically repelled the attack by Milošević's Serb nationalist forces on the BiH Presidency building:
- Hayır. Sarajevo'ya sis inen akşamları bayram gibi kutlarız. Silahlar susar, keskin nişancılar çekilir. Sırplar, Hırvatlar ve Müslümanlar hep beraber meydanda müzik yapar.
Today, Sarajevo remembers May 2, 1992 when the Serb-controlled Yugoslav Army and Serb paramilitary forces conducted the first frontal attack on Bosnia's capital wanting to seize the building of the Bosnian Presidency. The Bosnian forces refuted the attack and defended the city.
En la entrevista que le hice, José Madero habló de una canción de Sarajevo que abordaba un tema algo fuerte, al punto de que su disquera (Universal) intentó convencerlo de no incluirla en el nuevo disco ni lanzarla al público en general.
