Tittygate 2023 Being a “gifted” student with undiagnosed neurodivergence was a god damn nightmare for me. I suffered in silence because being smart means you’re apparently not allowed to have problems to most people. I feel constant guilt for not reaching my full potential or being good enough.

I love Queer Eye but they urgently need training on neurodivergence because if I have to sit through them shaming one more very probably undiagnosed autistic person for not being able to eat vegetables or dressing for comfort I’m going to flip a table

Well actually yes I am- because I was considered 'academically gifted' nobody took my neurodivergence seriously and was left unmedicated and extremely burnt out and IMO changed the trajectory of my higher education and my life

Incredibly moving discussion about healthcare provision for people with autism - big shout out to Chloe and Emma for getting up there and speaking.

Delighted that the voting was a sea of green and resolution passed - let’s get the discussion about neurodivergence going!

The problem with calling neurodivergence a disorder is that society is allowed to treat us like we aren’t people.

Let me give you an example of what happened to me, and how I didn’t have the confidence to stand up for myself because society told me I had a disorder.

Most writing advice is actually *not* helpful! I’m thrilled that some of you can write every day, but my brain simply refuses. I’m actually quite alarmed at how much writing advice is just “suck it up and do it” without practical tips for neurodivergence or self-compassion.
