#GlosBirds lovely afternoon at Woorgreens and Nagshead FoD today, my first Wood Warblers for a while plus 7 Garden Warblers, 2 Tree Pipits, a Redstart, 4 Stonechats and lots of Willow Warblers at Woorgreens. At Nagshead 3 Pied Flycatchers 2 Firecrests and a Redstart.

#GlosBirds Nice few hours in the Forest of Dean today. At Nagshead the Pied Flycatchers was elusive today with only a few glimpses, a male Redstart near the lower hide, 3 Firecrests seen and more heard and 2 Hawfinches. 2 Tree Pipits and 15+Willow Warblers at Crabtree Hill.

Rspb Nagshead visit today. Good views of Pied Flycatcher, Redstart, 3 species of Woodpecker, Mandarin ducklings and Common Blue butterfly with Kronking Ravens and Buzzards overhead.

Rather showy Pied Flycatcher from the Campbell hide at RSPB Nagshead this morning.

Another visit to RSPB Nagshead, Forest of Dean, this afternoon spotting these lovely spring regulars. The Garden Warblers showed quite well with a bit of patience. Treecreeper and GS Woodpeckers at nest also

Nagshead RSPB this am spent 40 mins in hide looking for Pied Fly’s with no luck, as I left I advised a family what to look for. An hour later they found me elated that they had seen there first ever Piedfly. I was gutted but also delighted that I’d made their day. #GlosBirds

A great day birding today at rspb nagshead with 3 year ticks. 1 male pied flycatcher a pair of stock doves and 2 male redstarts from lower hide,also wild boar and a tree creeper taking a bath.

So how did I do on my targets.

Nagshead really is a lot of work to get any reward. ~4 hours there and 2 trips to Lower Hide and I eventually ended up with a handful of pied flies + 2 m redstarts. + 1 spot fly on the long trail.

Also 1 v lowflying ghawk on 1st lower hide visit
