Today on I am grateful to the women who paved this path before me, who support me on my journey daily and those who will come behind me to continue the legacy of women in medicine. You all bring so much value to our field.

My mom went to med school when I was 9, & she used to take me to round in our small, rural hospital. She listened to patients’ stories, cared about their families, & treated them with kindness.

I’m still grateful my first formative clinical experience was with her. Happy !

, I reflect on how important this day is. As a college student & the 1st doctor in the family, I acknowledge the arduous path.

I am grateful for all of the women doctors who understand how hard it still is.
