MusicNT’s Bush Bands Bash is considered one of Australia’s premier Indigenous music events. Since 2003, the annual concert attracts thousands to gather in central Australia and witness musicians from some of the country’s most remote communities hit the big stage.

Barunga Festival, in its 35th year will now be held from 11-13 September 2020. The 3-day music, sports & culture festival was scheduled for 5-7 June.

Last week I attended MusicNT’s housewarming for their new home at the Old Courthouse in Alice Springs – a space that had previously been empty for seven years.

Gave the new instrument library a go at last night’s MusicNT 2023 Program Launch in Alice Springs.

It’s just one of the new initiatives being run by Mark Smith and the team as they continue to build the Northern Territory’s music scene into the best in Australia.
