Last week at #LowerSmiteFarm , Trust colleagues were busy rejuvenating the orchard! Rotting or weak tree guards were replaced and some new trees were planted π³
Amongst the rainy days, we have seen some gorgeous blue skies recently! Whilst enjoying the weather, our colleague Ellie captured the frothy blossom which has recently bloomed at #LowerSmiteFarm πΈ
The fence outside our office at #LowerSmiteFarm played host to a wandering caterpillar this week. The distinctive βskirtβ you can see in the photo make it the larva of the light emerald moth β usually youβd find it on a range of trees and shrubs, such as oak, blackthorn or birch.

Fantastic educational visit today to the beautiful Worcs Wildlife Trust #LowerSmiteFarm . Year 8 students learned about #wildflowers , the important role #pollinators play in our food supply & how we can assess and improve our environment for species recovery.
