During the Easter holidays, Marianna took part in the English Junior Women’s Curling Championships as part of Team WODMAK. Her team won the competition and will therefore go on to represent England in the World Junior B Curling Championships in Finland!

This week’s assemblies have been delivered by Olivia, Pip, and Bella. As members of the LGGS Geography Society, their talk focused on the impact of plastic production, and how we can all do our best to help the environment by reusing and recycling.

Last Wednesday, our brilliant year 7 and 8 athletes took to Blackpool to compete in the Lancashire Indoor Athletics Championships! Our year 7s achieved 3rd place and our year 8s came 8th in the entire Lancashire district - a huge achievement!

In March, Alice, Y13, competed in the World Rookie Tour Finals after winning the UK competition in Milton Keynes. The competition was in the Dolomites, Italy, and Alice came 5th and 4th in the two different events: slopestyle and big air. Well done, Alice!

Just before Easter, the CCF Army Contingent attended a Range Day at Altcar Training Camp. Students took part in a cadet GP assault rifle classification shoot at 100 metres.
