Spoke at a public debate, on whether it is possible for LDCs to achieve SDGs, at #LDC5 in Doha.

18% thought it is possible in the pre debate poll, eventually the motion was carried by 71%.

The discussion was focused on Youth Participation in the Youth Forum that will take place in the first half of this year in New York.

LDC5 Doha conference just concluded. Many takeaways coming. Loss in export trade to be compensated by products & market diversification. Intensive negotiations at intl. level & solid groundwork at the national level critical for a sustainable and irreversible graduation by 2026!

I officially paid a courtesy call to deputy representative of UNSOM Ambassador Anita Kiki Gbeho with whom I shared a report on the 5th meeting of developing countries held by the United Nations this year in Doha, Qatar where is was part of Somalia Youth Delegation to #LDC5 .

During #LDC5 Conference, UNWTO hosted a side event on ¨Harnessing Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism as Tools for Sustainable Development in LDCs¨.

Startups from the UNWTO SDGs Global Startups Competition pitched their solutions helping to drive change.

Systemic problems require sustainable solutions.

And civil society organizations' contributions and recommendations must be heard and affirmed at every policymaking table. #LDC5
