My insurance now requires me to buy the generic-label insulin instead of the brand-label. You'd expect the generic to be cheaper, right?

True for the middle men, but not for the patient! More proof that the insurance+PBM+drug companies are a giant scam.

After committing to lowering the list price of Levemir and some other insulins by as much as 75% last year, Novo Nordisk recently announced that it will discontinue Levemir. The Levemir FlexPen is now discontinued as of April 1st, and the vials on December 31st.
