#1 Playground - Org. by Gahyeon (Pre-release track)
I thought this was the perfect place to start because this song sets up the album and concept in the best way. It's fun and fresh and youthful and talks about the carefree feeling of being a child.
This inspired the whole concept. The retrospection of the growth you had to do over the years only to find in adulthood how the only thing you needed was yourself is SO beautiful, and I think it would resonate with her deeply.
Fresh and upbeat, this song is the perfect blend of attractive and youthful but without leaning too heavily on the cute. It's what I (and I imagine herself) want Jiu to try. Her energy and happiness would shine through so well.
#3 Ready Or Not - Org. by Bridgit Mendler (TITLE TRACK)
Is there a more perfect song for her? It's bouncy, it's hip, it's confident. It has vocal lines, it has rap lines, it demands good stage presence. Plus, the lyrics talk about breaking out of your shell.
Criminal Sua on the run is my new aesthetic. Just imagine her belting those notes on the chorus. I feel this is also a great way to inject emotion into the tracklist without including a normal ballad. I wanted something different for her.
I wanted the album to start strong and go from there. This song is not only iconic but also very dynamic, the final bridge and breakdown give a turn to make the track interesting and always fun to listen to. Girl-crush at its peak.
#5 Life's Too Short - Org. by Aespa (Promotional Track)
Say what you want about this song, this pop track with R&B elements is so rich and soulful, and would be perfect for Gahyeon to showcase all the improvement she has done in skills and self confidence.
The idea of trying out a bunch of new things to find yourself matches the concept in a way I don't know how to describe. Plus, I think Gahyeon would eat this up with all the belting she has to do in DC.
This is perfect for a slow song that blends well with the tracklist and concept. The subject is so powerful and vulnerable mixed with this acid pop sound that feels straight out of moody 2004 music. Plus, it would let her use her rap skills again.
