Houchen said “Teesside will be synonymous with net zero. It’s not ridiculous to say.” He describes Teesworks as a ‘decarbonised industrial cluster’.
What is ridiculous is calling a project ‘net zero’ when it is predicted to produce 20+m tons of carbon emissions.
