🆕 أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الأخيرة (ONWARDS-1) تفوق الأنسولين الأسبوعي (icodec)، حيث كان هناك فرق قدره 0.19% في السكر التراكمي مقارنة بالأنسولين اليومي (glargine) بعد عام (52 أسبوعاً)، ولكن لم يكن هناك فرق إحصائي (statistical difference) في السكر

Type 2 diabetes often required long-acting and meal-time insulin or 28 injections/week 💉💉💉

Combined semaglutide + weekly insulin icodec would be 1 injection/wk 🤯

In COMBINE 3, Sema+icodec was non-inferior to glargine+aspart in a1c reduction with less hypoglycemia.

The results of the ONWARDS 1 phase 3a trial are out in NEJM, showing that 'glycemic control was significantly better with once-weekly insulin Icodec than with once-daily insulin Glargine U100' in patients with type II DM.

A game-changer for patients with DM 2.
