Excited to join the #GeoSPACE23 field course! Our first stop today was Montezuma’s castle, nestled in some beautiful limestone of the Verde formation.

Day 5 of #GeoSPACE23 complete! We visited SP Crater, saw some awesome volcanic textures, snacked at Wupatki national monument, and had an amazing tour and talk at the USGS AstroGeology Center in Flagstaff!

Today #GeoSPACE23 field class visited Sunset Crater and Walnut Canyon National Monuments. Great views of volcanic & fluvial (river-forming) features

Today the GeoSPACE Field Course crew familiarized ourselves with the local stratigraphy around Flagstaff and visited meteor crater! It has been awesome experiencing what a truly accessible field course looks like. #GeoSPACE23
