When Rossetti’s wife Lizzie Siddal died aged 32 in 1862, he was so wracked with guilt & grief that he placed a handwritten book of his own poems in her coffin. 7 years later he organised the coffin to be exhumed so the poems could be retrieved for publication. #FolkloreSunday
