Their solution was more power - his Xiegu G90 with 20w of power didn't seem to be cutting it. But the answer was NOT more power.

Working on some EmComm today

Getting ready to try HF local (500 mile-ish) emcomm. Couldn't have asked for a better day! #hamradio #NVIS

Conditions suck, but I had great fun running a simple rig with a 9 volt battery pushing about 4 watts and hunted 6 or 7 #pota QSOs my highest signal report was a 599. Antenna was my Cha EMCOMM III Base.

Live fire trials were 98% successful today.
