The title works as some diversion from the actual delivery, which is strikingly well executed concerning the paranoic setting within a kind of epidemic. It's an insightful analysis of humans held captive by their own fears in hardship.

Requels keep being trendy & DGD keeps doing them, unfortunately this time he failed. The newest film is more of a generic possession movie than an attempt to relive the franchise & serve as an homage to Friedkin's classic.

John Carpenter’s classic film is forty five years old this year and I still look forward to revisiting it every Halloween, and it’s still the perfect viewing for October 31st. 🎃🔪

The back half of was pretty good. 4 great first time watches; Evils Dead Rise, Pearl, Megan & Scream 4. The only real dud was Wolf Creek. First time ever watching anything past the original Scream, maybe I'll get to VI next year.

We're going to go ahead and test an OG Xbox stream next month with a OG Xbox and a couple games. One of which I will show a trailer for that will be in the 3rd Annual 31 Days Of Horror.

Pearl (2022) Finishing with this gem. Mia Goth carries the film with an amazing performance as Pearl. I may like this even more than X and that's saying something. Can't wait for MaXXXine Movies Community

Day 30 of
The Caller (2011)
Really enjoyed this one, mostly for the premise of being harassed by someone in the past who can change your whole life by an action in the past & there's very little you can do to stop it. Well worth a watch.

Day 31🎃

DRACULA’S DAUGHTER (1936) dir Lambert Hillyer

She was beautiful when she died 100 years ago! Heavy with fog/unwitting subtext, this Gothic melodrama is elevated by Holden’s lugubrious mesmerist icon Marya Zaleska who hopes psychiatry can end her thirst.

Revisited Sergio Martino's well-cast, twisty & disorientating giallo-cum-black magic mystery, 'All the Colours of the Dark' (1972). Its London settings add plenty of atmosphere & surely guarantee that this is the only film in which Edwige Fenech cooks bacon & eggs
