Had a great run at the Colorado Marathon despite a rough last 6 weeks of training. Goal time was 2:55 and came in at 2:53 which should mean a Boston Marathon qualification for 2025. I pretty much nailed my race plan thanks to Stryd | Run With Power's race calculator
We'll be running in warmer and more humid conditions than what we trained in. It is great to have a tool like Stryd | Run With Power that adjusts your power target based on altitude, temperature, and humidity. Dropped my target from 314 W to 309 W.
Started this training block 14 weeks ago on the treadmill; finished it on the treadmill.
153 bpm at 5:53 min/km Jan 14
145 bpm at 4:47 min/km Apr 26
Same treadmill, same conditions.

Stryd | Run With Power power was CRUCIAL down hill & wind out= 6:15 pace vs 6:45 return but power avg 285w +/- 5w every km
My target was 280w, sub-21. Very happy God blesses me with health & discipline

Today's medium run included 30 mins at Marathon Stryd | Run With Power Power. Heart rate stayed within upper Z2 and lower zone 3; Legs don't feel that fresh, though. I guess that's from all the walking at City of Boston this week . 7 days until OKC Memorial Marathon . Time to taper for real.

I started conservatively during the marathon but increased my pace as kilometers passed by.

Ran my first race in four years this morning! It was both the slowest 5k race I have ever run AND it was 1 minute faster than my target time. Thanks to Stryd | Run With Power for helping me pace such an up and down course (see screenshot), and it was great to see Stryder Gus there!
