Absurd and dangerous for Keir Starmer to claim we 'can't afford' to tax the very wealthiest.

Even moderate taxes on the super-rich would raise billions for desperately needed public investment in our communities and the just transition.

We can't afford not to.

📺 Speaking on ITV for the South East: Water must be in public hands to get investment in infrastructure not billions given away in profits. I was just last weekend seeing raw sewage bubbling up in Patcham in Brighton and the seas are filthy. It's a massive issue on the doorstep!

The overlapping climate and nature crises have to be a central topic at this election. I'm calling on the broadcasters to play their part by putting on environment specific TV debates. Now more than ever we cannot let this slip from the political agenda.
