Safety Inspection this morning for FMC ED - Code Yellow - beds in the ED Corridor - and 26 in the ED waiting for a bed in the hospital - worst seen for this ED by SASMOA

31 mental health patients waiting for a bed in CALHN - we need to support our mental health clinicians and patients.

In CALHN hospitals - 35 mental health patients in the ED of which 27 mental health confirmed waiting for a bed. 🥺SA Health

Another long week in our public health system - currently in metro hospitals - 86 patients waiting for a bed according to Dashboard - unrelenting and tough for our clinicians throughout our hospitals and community SA Health

It has been a hard two weeks in code white for our public hospitals.

Dr Michael Yung was a talented, tireless and caring doctor, and an incredibly passionate advocate for a better SA public health system for our kids. Our deepest condolences go to his family, friends and workmates at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. An incomprehensible loss.

Contacted by doctors at RAH. There are 106 patients in the RAH ED. 54 admitted patients waiting for a bed including 17 mental health patients and very sick patients in the waiting room. SA Health this requires an urgent response. Safety inspection requested.

Apparently an error due to the installation of new upgraded EMR system back on track tomorrow.

Colleague heading to LMH for a safety inspection. SA Health Dashboards - 103 patients in the LMH ED, 28 admitted patients waiting for a bed, 57 patient spaces in the ED and a cap of 368 beds in LMH but 442 beds occupied. 😖
