With the Irish National War Memorial Gardens and the WW2 club we have a day of re-enactment in honour of the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Saturday 8th June. Happening in the Gardens near the Temple by the river from 10am to 2pm.

Ours is a cast of a lead original found in the gardens at Stowe.
Our Painting was once equipped with an easel and paintbrush.

While walking, you might spot this. Called a Ha-Ha, it had two functions. To provide a boundary to protect livestock and to create the look of a rolling meadow.
Now, for #NoMowMay it adds colour to walks for all who spot it.

#OTD Robert Emmet was hanged and beheaded for leading the 1803 rebellion. For a short period, he was buried in Bully's Acre here.

It is believed only one portrait was painted while alive. Today, our amazing colleagues KilmainhamGaolMuseum care for it.
