Today, we highlight one of the three sculptures hidden in our gardens. This is Painting.
Ours is a cast of a lead original found in the gardens at Stowe.
Our Painting was once equipped with an easel and paintbrush.

While walking, you might spot this. Called a Ha-Ha, it had two functions. To provide a boundary to protect livestock and to create the look of a rolling meadow.
Now, for #NoMowMay it adds colour to walks for all who spot it.

Last year we acquired this postcard of the Richmond Tower entrance to Royal Hospital Kilmainham / IMMA from the early 20th century. It also includes a lovely vista looking down Kilmainham Lane with what we think might be our neighbours in The Old Royal Oak in the distance.

#OTD Robert Emmet was hanged and beheaded for leading the 1803 rebellion. For a short period, he was buried in Bully's Acre here.
It is believed only one portrait was painted while alive. Today, our amazing colleagues KilmainhamGaolMuseum care for it.
