During WWII, women all over Britain stepped in to cover jobs left empty due to men enlisting in the armed forces. This week we came across a photo from 1941 showing just that! These women worked as dispatch riders, delivering important messages by motorcycle 🏍️

The first 'Friday Find' from our collections team is this adorable duck-shaped askos (small pottery vessel from ancient Greece) 🦆 This little guy dates from around 400-300BC! We don't know exactly where he was found, but he's likely to be from Apulia in sunny southern Italy ☀️
