Clearly he was determined to ‘stick to the plan’ at these moments we see so much of our leaders

Sunak could have made people feel for him, a little, in that speech. But the fact he didn't make one comment about the rain - not a joke, not anything - gives away that he never quite understood that his audience are real people and the job is to make them FEEL things.

We hope this research compels the DfE to correct their perpetual underinvestment in the school estate and provide all pupils and staff with buildings that are safe and fit for purpose
