Fans of Longborough Festival Opera and the UK opera scene more generally - if you're still looking for a Xmas gift, my new history of the company has lots of gorgeous pictures and more Martin & Lizzie Graham anecdotes than you could shake Wotan's spear at.

We are shocked to hear of the Oxford Brookes decision to close so many of their key departments, particularly Music. Academics like Alexandra Wilson are doing popular, unique, and important work on current topics. It is a loss for Oxford and a short-sighted decision for Brookes.
Wonderful book launch this morning for Richard Bratby’s biography of Longborough Festival Opera. Longborough audiences are so warm and the live performances were superb. 👏 lfo.org.uk/our-story/long…
