I agree…one of the best meetings I’ve had ever attended

most importantly, learning, and hearing from our communities and patients is so helpful

the bidirectional dialogue is critical, much needed, and hopefully other conferences can adopt the same format

Prevent athero by lifestyle intervention
Prevent MI (when athero present) by medication+lifestyle

Choose whom to ‘treat’ wisely

Use ‘precision’ vs ‘gunshot’ approach

How about a new proposal for European Atherosclerosis Society

At
Let’s have a mobile CT scanner

Get to know the numbers which matter the most

no guesses, will tell you what ur true risk is, not what it might be

Thoughts?

In societies where population health approaches are preferred, for appropriate and resource allocations, cannot think of any other test in primary prevention setting then testing to truly guide both individual and societal level management decisions

Agree

“At high risk” treat to prevent

Key thing is accurate risk stratification

Risk factors/biomarkers poor surrogates for risk

Atherosclerosis imagining best choice for deciding who needs treatment beyond life style management to prevent 1st event

Completely agree, I’ve never seen any correlation in real life or test scores & motivation/achievement/patient centric care

I have always advocated this being least imp factor in selection of excellent candidates

unfortunately traditional processes still account this highly

Why didn’t folks understand that earlier

Was the simplest reason

Don’t know what took so long, been saying that for a while 🤷🏻

Did you know that 🏭 coking plants, which are major sources of pollution, still operate in the US? 🌎 Honored to be interviewed by Bridget Kuehn for this pulse piece @Circulation discussing a study showing ⬇️ in hospitalizations after a plant closed in PA.

impact health in more ways than we understand

Glad focus is shifting from identifying health disparities->achieving

It's time for health systems, community partners, policymakers & researchers to focus finding solutions for the highest health standards
