Just finished Badgers Are Go by Susannah Lloyd and from David Fickling Books and it's an absolute riot! This is going to be sooo popular for 7+. Out in Sep 24, you are going to love the humour - I mean RAF tally ho style badgers, what's not to love. Just a barrel of fun. Loved it ❤️

Rishi Sunak was already viewed as a joke before today. After announcing the election while standing in the pouring rain and being drowned out by Things Can Only Get Better, he's now become one of the biggest jokes of all time.

One of my Year 6 pupils is a huge Ipswich Town fan. He's extremely concerned about the Kieran McKenna situation, and whether or not he's leaving. He spent the day jumping onto the BBC Sport website every fifteen minutes to check for updates and kept me fully informed.

There are only a handful of children's authors who get automatic promotion to the top of my reading pile. Emma Carroll 🇺🇦 is one. The Houdini Inheritance is right up there with her very best. Loved the 1920s setting and transatlantic storyline. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have absolutely no idea how Mel Taylor-Bessent finds the time to keep the wonderful Authorfy website going and write such entertaining children's books, but we should all be glad she does. Race to Imagination Island (illustrated by Alessandro D'urso) is a huge amount of fun.
