Thanks to our friends at EuroClio for welcoming us to the European history educator party! I learned so much (pretty sure I met educators from at least a dozen countries!) and cannot wait to continue building these transatlantic bridges. #HistoryMatters #belonging2024
I am so proud of this work. Over the last year, our team (staff and board) has collaborated on a renewed mission, vision, and values to guide us for the next three years. As always, educators are at the center of everything we do and strive to be. #HistoryMatters
Who else will be at the NCPH conference in Salt Lake City next month? I'll be facilitating a public plenary on April 12, 'Building Bridges with Public History,' with Wing Luke Museum Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs Joseph McGill ncph.org/conference National Council for History Education
I am so proud of this National Council for History Education team. Teachers felt loved and supported as professionals at our conference, which is exactly what we hoped for. I also got to fangirl Heather Cox Richardson (TDPR) in person and rock out Rock Hall. Just balm for my soul. #historymatters #teachersareprofessionals

The well-prepared educator wears her colonial dress and has a selection of fascinators on hand for a celebratory Zoom conversation with a respected historian. National Council for History Education Dr. Joanne Freeman (@jbf1755 on lots o’ platforms) #historymatters
My favorite part of #ncss2023 was getting to be with so many of my people (and honky-tonking with Matthew Ellison). Grateful to the National Council for History Education staff & NCHE friends like Lois MacMillan for giving me so much joy in Nashville. I saw a lot of things in NYC today but I can’t stop thinking about these glorious Tiffany lamps. I would like one for every surface in my house, please. Thanks New-York Historical Society for the fantastic first visit!
Thank you to my lovely brilliant National Council for History Education colleagues for hosting tonight: Regina Holland , Shauna Liverotti , and Dalton Savage. Y'all are the best! (Can I use y'all even though I'm a northerner?) #sschat
