Today, we pause to honor the military men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom and democracy. We are grateful for their service to our nation and today, we reflect on their courage and dedication.

One of the greatest honors of my life was the privilege of serving as commander-in-chief, and with pride also came sometimes heartbreak and loss. And the sober recognition of the sacrifices that so many Americans and their families have made to preserve our freedom.

per k tradition, we did a “FIGHTING!” pic but Grandmaster Choi corrected us. He said “fighting!” is what you say at the start of the fight. “이기자!” (eegeeja or let’s win!) is what you say once the fight is underway. And the whole crowd erupted into a chorus of “이기자!!” 🥹 LFG

I grew up without health insurance & almost lost a parent bc of the high costs & barriers of the US healthcare system.
But sure, tell me again how no one cares about affordable healthcare 🥱

Now that Biden and Trump are discussing debates, one thing is clear. The first ever Presidential debate at an HBCU, Virginia State University, should go forward as planned.

VSU’s selection as a debate venue was a point of pride for Virginians and those with a connection to this important HBCU.

Summarily cancelling this debate — rather than requesting changes — is the wrong move.

I join many Virginians in calling on both campaigns to reconsider.

I am honored to have been appointed by Speaker Don Scott to several new boards. I will continue to serve on the Commission on Youth & am looking forward to working on tackling sexual & domestic violence, pandemic response, administrative rules, PANS/PANDAS & energy regulation.
