Ikon, in partnership with Transport for West Midlands (TFWM), has commissioned Black Country artist Black Country Type to co-create a new public sculpture.

Ikon will receive a £45,000 grant to support an emerging POC curator through a paid fellowship.

Artemisia Gentileschi has arrived Ikon, where she emerges from the darkness in 'Self-Portrait as Saint Catherine of Alexandria', clutching a palm frond, symbolic of martyrdom. Such spectacle!
