We're continuing our #fieldwork for the MIRECLIM project project under the rays of the spring sun, and this time we've visited Eastern Poland! Our research plots on both open and forested peatlands, where we will be studying #testate #amoebae , are now ready! Thank you Narodowe Centrum Nauki🔬🙃

We install sensors in eastern Poland. Completely different peatlands, mostly shallow with dead tree trunks in the water, which are an unpleasant surprise during exploration. The ability to quickly balance is a valuable skill 😄. Eriophorum 💚 compensates🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟 time🤬

Exciting field trip underway! Our team, led by Prof. Błaszkiewicz, is exploring the latest findings of the permafrost ring project in northern Poland. A huge shoutout to Narodowe Centrum Nauki for funding our research. 🧑‍🔬🌳💧

Just wrapped up a fascinating #fieldwork ! Collected sediment cores and conducted electrical resistivity profiling for the #permafrost ring project led by Prof. Błaszkiewicz financed by Narodowe Centrum Nauki 🧑‍🔬🌳💧 #igsopas

European #beavers have the power to alter whole ecosystems 🦫🏞️ In my PhD Institute of Geography & Spatial Organization PAS I aim to 1) determine the range of this alteration and its potential benefits 2) recognise the public opinion on this reintroduced species in a mountainous region of #Poland and #Slovakia .

Of the more than 19k presentations accepted for #EGU2024 - a few of the most interesting ones were selected to promote #geosciences at the congress press conf. Among them - Robert Piotrowski from Institute of Geography & Spatial Organization PAS presented results of two Narodowe Centrum Nauki -funded grants: #erraGiants and #millPOLstone .

#EGU 2024 The General Assembly is over. I presented the results of the Narodowe Centrum Nauki-funded #erraGiants grant. It was a good visit. Looking forward to the next #EGU Assembly.
