🛠️The DT department are looking forward to welcoming students to the HSLC Family Learning Day tomorrow. In the DT session, students will be using fabric crayons, printing and using the sewing machines to create a fabric door bunting as well as a pin badge or keyring.

🛠️DT news- Here are some super examples of photo frame design ideas inspired by the “Mephis” design movement. Students will next learn how to translate their designs into 2D Design before Mr Nesbitt laser cuts their final product. We can't wait to see the finished frames!

Yesterday, the HSLC Dance Live! Team made the 7 hour journey to Portsmouth, to compete in the 2024 Finals! Although we did not place, the team’s performance was the best they had ever done it! Thank you to anyone who has supported the team this year and WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR

Last week Year 9 students attended a presentation about what the Royal Navy do and the different careers and opportunities within the Royal Navy. They also enjoyed taking part in Navy drills and team building workshops.

On Friday evening Music students had the opportunity to play alongside the Manchester Camerata. Students performed a piece of music that they had written with professional composer Kate Pearson to celebrate the history of the RNLI and Hornsea Inshore Resc.
