I am very sorry for anyone who has contributed to this crowdfunding and now feels disappointed and that they have been misled by the Backto60/CEDAWinLaw campaign. It is shameful. I hope that Parliament will now decide on a fair outcome for those affected without undue delay

In the meantime, I hope these lawyers might at least attempt to persuade the campaign organisers to publish the materials I have suggested should be published. This would not involve any waiver of privilege and would promote transparency that disappointed contributors deserve

After raising and paying over £38,490 in legal fees, and failing to provide any substantive information or updates about its progress for months, campaigners have now discontinued this litigation against the DWP purportedly on behalf of “all” 1950s women affected by increased SPA

Then quite simply we'd all be stuffed!

Dear Waspi: it was not a DWP government landing page that had the wrong women's SPA on it, it was an orphan page that had got missed in a revamp. You could only get to it by clicking directly on the URL, not by search or connecting link. It was deleted as soon as it was found
