As of right now with 25% of the season complete, Kris Wright has a P2 at Talladega and Greg Van Alst has a P3 at Daytona, four others have P4&5.

This could be a first in ARCA if not racing altogether.

In 1984 Glenn Jarrett made one start for Rick Hendrick in the Budweiser Late Model Sportsman series (now Xfinity Series) at North Wilkesboro in Sept. He finished 23rd with engine issues.

Just learned in the 1994 Nascar Cup Series, Rick Mast was 10th overall for the season in total laps led.

He led more laps than drivers like: Elliott, Marlin, Jarrett and Spencer. All of whom won races during that season.

Rick was very close in the fall race at Rockingham.

After watching Matt Smith recent video about Oil company sponsors in Nascar it got me thinking.

Current HMS drivers Larson, Bowman and Byron all have had Valvoline as a primary, Elliott hasn't. I'm guessing this is since Napa has their own oil brand?

Was just watching the 1987 Daytona 500 on NASCAR Classics CBS took a commercial break in the last ten laps of green flag racing.

Just noticed that in 1979 & 1990 Dale Earnhardt had won four poles each season. From 1980-89, the entire decade, Dale only won four poles.

Strange that each year sandwiching the 80's has the same number as the entire decade.

Daniel Suarez will start his 255 Cup race at Phoenix this Sunday tying him with Juan Pablo Montoya for the most Cup starts by a foreign born driver.

He will break the record the following week at Bristol Motor Speedway.
